![]() i beat him at level 18 with no trouble that way using only two health potions.Īs far as special weapons go, the drill is probably the best one to use regardless of if it does slightly less damage than another weapon only because of it's area of attack and the fact that it bounces enemies in the air, giving you a free shot or two in the process. simply use one of each "super/awesome" potion and go to town on him. The only boss you may have trouble on is the serpent before the final boss. the benefits severely outweigh the rest of the perks. Make sure you always pick extra health/resistance + use armor/weapons 1-2 levels higher when you level up. it's always a good idea to go to the arena and buy ~15 food items whenever you level up (you get new food when you level up)Ĭharged shots with your crossbow also can end up doing a ton of damage to enemies you think it wouldn't, try it out. ALWAYS USE FOOD ITEMS WHEN YOU CAN INSTEAD OF POTIONS. ![]() avoid buying nature / speed potions, they're useless imo. ![]() if you run out just transport to the arena outhouse and buy some more. since the potions only really increase in duration of the power for more expensive potions, stick with the minor potions. with the added defense and attack stats, you should stand a much better chance. whenever you come across enemies who are a little bit tougher than usual, use a light armor potion and a light "beef up" (purple) potion. I tried using tips from the above guide, but i found an easier way to breeze through insane mode. Those are the best tips I can give you, so good luck. I would advise focusing on the health increase/resistance or the stun/reflect hero card for the first set of 3, and the damage or the armor/weapons upgrade one, as these will be the most helpful to you during your Insane playthrough, especially the health one. Also, every time you respawn after dying, eat the most helpful food, as that will usually put you back to full health.Īs well, every time you level up, you will get a choice of hero cards. I also found using grenades are great for groups of enemies, so that they won't suddenly ambush you and kill you in 5 seconds. Just reflect as many projectiles as you can, and shield bash to stun guys, making life a little easier. The enemies always stay dead if you kill them, though they will respawn if you leave the area and come back 10 or so minutes later. Luckily, there isn't much of a downside to dying, besides wasting a little time. Anti-Spank becomes especially easy if you stick an orb of invulnerability in front of each arm and his torso and start chaining attacks.Īs well, be prepared to die a lot. For these guys, you should either run away and use lots of grenades or use the orb of invulnerability and start chaining your attacks (which means alternating which weapons you're hitting them with, and not hitting them with the same weapon twice in a row). The only hard parts are some of the bosses, such as the one at the Opera Championships, and that crocodile guy at Hel's Half Acre, right before fighting Anti-Spank. ![]() Just note you should probably do most of the side quests again to gain enough experience, because there will be points where you may not be leveled up enough to easily progress through the game. You can basically play exactly the same way you did on the easier difficulties. Don't let the name fool you, it really isn't all that hard. After you beat the game for the first time, you will unlock Insane difficulty.
